Biographical Sketch for Pastor Dr. Vivian Wilson

Dr. Wilson was born and reared in the Gadsden County area.  She is the proud daughter of the late Pastor John and Annie Wright.  She is the eleventh of their fourteen children.  She attended the public schools of Gadsden County and graduated from James A. Shanks High School. 

          Dr. Wilson is the mother of ten children and the grandmother of 13.

          Dr. Wilson has been serving in the ministry for 51 years  and currently serves Overseer of the I AM Fellowship Ministries in Quincy, Florida and Power of God Global Ministries in LeHigh Acres, Florida.    She’s a poet, writer, inspirational speaker, motivator, and a spiritual counselor.  She has published two motivational books - “Nuggets and Prayers for the Hurting Woman” and “I’m Too Old For That.”  She has published one educational books, “Teaching Gigi’s Children:  Educating African American Males.” 

Dr, Wilson is a PhD graduate of the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University,  a summa cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Business Education. She received the Master of Biblical Studies from the Center of Biblical Studies in Tallahassee, FL.  She also received training and received certification for Instructional Rounds from Harvard University.

Currently she is the High School Curriculum Director, Literacy Coach and English Department Chairperson at the Florida A&M University Developmental Research School. 

Her motto was taken from Ghandi – “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
